(April 02, 2009) If your computer takes an eternity to start, it could be due to a large number of programs that are loaded each time it starts. Many of them are not necessary (such as Real Player, Adobe Reader or Google Update, for instance) and only add to your waiting time. To remedy this, go to Start then click on Run and type the word msconfig in the box. When a page opens look for the Startup tab (it's the fourth from the left). Click on it and untick all the programs that you don't need at the startup.
